Best of all the Claritec can be mostly buried in the ground near the pool and the filtered water can be returned to the pool via a single outlet pipe - even up hill due to the pressurised design of the filter.

Pond Filtration Pond Fish, especially Koi, Goldfish and other Carp varieties have hugely inefficient digestion systems. Around 80% of food input passes straight through as solid waste. In addition since most garden pools are entirely outdoors, a fair amount of debris (leaves, grass cuttings etc.) arrives from the external environment. Add in strong sunlight casusing substantial algae growth and it's easy to see that any filter will have a hard time constantly providing clean, clear water in a the garden pool. Traditionally pond filters have been large ugly things using gravity flow to pass water through a quantity of filter media in a largely inefficient and ineffective manner. Modern pressurized pond filters such as the ClariTec range from Pond One are a substantial evolutionary step in pond maintenance techniques. Because pond water is forced throught he filter media under pressure, the media is more efficiently utilized and the filter can consequently be more compact. The flow may be simply reversed for easy backwashing and a UV Clarifier may also be built in. The return water, being under pressure, can be pumped uphill to return via a waterfall or cascade while the filter is concealed or even half buried in a less obvious location.
